SmartSec East Ltd is a leading Norwich based security provider. SmartSec East Ltd evolved from a door supervision company (SmartSec Ltd) that serviced many pubs and clubs in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Hertfordshire from 2002.  In addition to providing the friendly faces that graced the entertainment premises every weekend, SmartSec also provided event security for regional events such as Strawberry Fair, Midsummer Fair and the educational events; Cambridge University May Balls and the May balls of smaller colleges. 

In 2006 when the SIA licencing was brought in SmartSec evolved into SmartSec UK ltd and grew their static guarding operations from providing security for building sites, for the likes of Taylor Woodrow, exploration locations for the Environment Agency and commercial premises to provide  security for one of the world’s largest research laboratories at their site in Norfolk.

Around the same time SmartSec began to provide static guards for the Dubai Royal Family’s estate in Dalham Hall and the largest horse racing stables in the world, Godolphin  at the home of horse racing; Newmarket, with this progression came a move of the company from Cambridge to Newmarket. Following difficulties in 2008 shared by most of the UK’s businesses; economic financial crisis, SmartSec UK ltd was forced to stop trading  due unsettled accounts. 

Since 2013 SmartSec East ltd has stayed true to its heritage and continues to provide presentable and professional staff and maintains an honest approach to dealing with clients and the public.
